[ RETOUR / BACK ]

Saturday the 15th of May, as the weather was so sunny but so hot (25°C), we (Greg, Laurence and I, there should have been 3 friends of me, but they lost their way) decide to go to the most famous and the nearest beach of NY: Coney Island (or Brigthon Beach). Before going there, people warned me that it is a dirty beach. In fact, I was surprises to see that it isn't. OK, don't expect to see beach like in the Costa Brava, or on the French Atlantic Coast, it's justa beach like you can see in the south of France: fitted, with wooden allée for the walkers, a large beach to welcome thousands of tourists, a fair of games (with a huge wheel which was created during the 30's). We spent most of the day, then we visited a part of Brooklyn, we passed by the Brooklyn bridge to go to South Manhattan and to take the metro home. To conclude, it was a very good day even if we didn't bathe in the sea (water was about 16°), but we suntanned...too much red !!
