Vendredi 12 mars, 13h15, le vol AF006 en direction de l'aéroport JFK de New York est retardé à cause du mauvais temps à Paris. C'est pas grave, les passagers attendront encore une ptite heure avant de décoller pour la Grosse Pomme. Après 8h de vol dans de bonnes conditions, les quelques 300 personnes du boeing 747 arrivent saines et sauves, sous un soleil radieux. Je fais la queue pour prendre un taxi puis je me dirige vers 100 St Nicholas Avenue, numéro 6A où Stephen Maynard, mon colloc, m'attend. L'appartement est situé sur le flanc ouest de Harlem, à quelques pas de Central Park et de Columbia University. J'y découvre un batiment assez vieux mais pas trop mal entretenu, par contre l'appartement est un peu plus "triste" que ce qu'on voyait sur les photos sur le site internet.

March 12, 1.15, the flight AF006 to New York's airport JFK is delayed because of the bad weather in Paris. The passengers should wait one hour more to take off towards the Big Apple. After a 8-hour haul in good conditions, the 300 people of the boeing 747 arrived safe, under a shining sun. I queue to take the taxi, and I go to 100 St Nicholas Avenue, number 6A where Stephen Maynard, my roommate, is waiting for me. The apartment is located at the west of Harlem, next to Central park and Columbia Univsersity. I find out a building quite old but not so bad, unlike the apartment which is a little bit "sader" than what I was able to see on the pictures on the website.
